The renovation of a two-story apartment located in the center of Rotterdam in the only building of the area withstanding the Second World War's bombing of the city. The apartment counts 120m2 and it is distributed on two levels connected through  internal stairs. After various considerations, the intervention proceeded violently into liberating the space from its existing interior layout, essentially, the new spatial configuration strongly pivots around all exposed existing structure and on the light interior partitions. All new elements are kept to the minimal, strictly separating private environments from the generous public space.  New materials have been carefully chosen and introduced in the apartment with emphasis on differentiation, simplicity, transparency and innovation.
