PUNGGOL WATERFRONT HOUSING DESIGN, Competition, Singapore (2009)
How does one create a welcoming neighborhood out of a Tabula Rasa? The concept for the masterplan came from a geographical consideration that the given site is still to be invented. We operated by doubling the common green and appointing '8 key points'. Each key is the generator of an atmosphere for the quadrant it is located on. We overlay them to create a sequence of bands living their own identity and logic within a boundary.  In the Architecture, patterns are open matrixes: we aim to provoke a change within the given urban space dominated by the intersection of quadrants and infrastructure.
