Paco Maron Architect (1982) CL/LU studied architecture from 2001 at Ecole Speciale d’Architecture (ESA) in Paris, which later led him to work with Jakob+MacFarlane Architects on a 100 unit housing project in Paris. In 2005, he attended the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-arc) in Los Angeles, where he also entered collaboration with Eric Owen Moss on a highly experimental project in Culver City, California. In 2007, Paco graduated from ESA with a Masters thesis entitled “For an Informal Urbanism”, dealing with the wide ranging social, economical and infrastructural problems in the development of informal settlements in Rio de Janeiro. Since 2006, Paco has been engaged with a variety of world renowned architects from Europe and overseas, working on projects as diverse as the curation of high-end fashion shows and the masterplanning for low income neighborhoods; the construction of luxury condominiums and the reinvention of a multinational's headquarters. Since 2009 Paco is a founding partner of XCOOP®. Today he is focusing on the international business development of XCOOP® as well as overseeing design efforts on several ongoing projects.
